Poker

Basically, poker is a game of chance where players use their five cards to form a hand with the highest possible ranking. The objective is to make the best possible hand of cards to win the pot.

The standard pack of cards in Poker is 52, ranked from Ace to King. The cards are dealt face up. The dealer deals cards one at a time to each player. The first player to the left of the button is the “first to act” in the hand. If the button is not in the active position, then the dealer cuts the deck and then deals the cards.

The player who has the highest value card in a straight will win the pot. In a tie, the player with the highest unmatched fifth card wins.

The next round of betting begins with the two remaining dealers. They must bet or pass. After this round, all other players must check or call. If any player raises, the next round will proceed.

If all players call, the game will proceed to the next round. If all players fold, the action will cease. The next round will start with the remaining players discarding one or more cards.

If no one raises, the round will continue with the remaining players, who can pass, call or increase their bet. After this round, the winning hand is revealed. The winner takes the pot and does not reveal the winning hand.
